Flow computer (Nm³/h)
The MultiCon data recorder continues to develop!
In the latest firmware update, it receives a new practical feature: the “Flow computer” *. This enhancement makes the device even more versatile and flexible for industrial applications
What does the new feature do?
The new option enables, among other things, the conversion of volumetric gas flow into Normal gas flow (Nm³/h), taking temperature and, optionally, pressure into account. This is a
commonly used solution in industrial applications, where accurate monitoring of gas consumption is essential.
Application example:
Assume we want to calculate the standard gas flow (Qn). Parameters:
Q – volumetric flow
P – measured pressure (bar)
T – measured temperature (K)
The formula is:
The result? You can at the same time:
- totalize gas consumption in Nm³ (totalizer),
- monitor the real-time flow in Nm³/h and m³/h.
Not only for gases
This is just one of many possible applications. You can also use the new feature for:
- thermal energy totalization,
- mass flow calculation (e.g., fuels),
- other advanced calculations in automation systems.
